The Sims 4's newest occult Sims are a wild bunch, howling at the moon, being one with nature and some of the best fighters around. The Werewolves Game Pack holds a lot of content for players to explore, provided they want to play as werewolves. Werewolves in The Sims have never been better, but they do have one problem which can cause headaches: anger issues. The Sims 4's werewolves have to deal with Fury, which can lead to unintended consequences and chaos. Luckily, there are ways to manage an enraged werewolf and reduce the Fury generated.

It's not all rage and fangs in The Sims 4: Werewolves. There's a whole new neighborhood and plenty of new interactions and goals to explore as a werewolf, even when just living among or being friends with one. Werewolves operate similarly to vampires, leveling up and gaining new abilities of the players choosing. There is room to become a beast who gets into fights and intentionally terrifies other Sims, or to help control the beast within.

How Fury Works in The Sims 4: Werewolves

The Fury orb in The Sims 4: Werewolves

All werewolf Sims have a Fury bar which can be found in the Needs menu. It's the orb which occasionally fills with red, signaling the inevitable rampage to come. Fury builds up over time, but it's also generated from things like poor mood and unfortunate events. There are also some things which can exacerbate it.

Werewolves get four temperaments, which are like traits that specifically effect Fury generation. Turned werewolves get them immediately, while those made in Create-a-Sim develop them over time. They dictate what will generate Fury quickly and can range from simple things like not enjoying being wet to hating the daily work grind. It can change gameplay drastically if players are looking to avoid rampaging.

Managing these temperaments is key to maintaining the Fury bar and preventing it from filling up quickly. It will always generate overtime, but will take longer if triggers for werewolves are avoided. However, there is still one thing which is almost entirely guaranteed to fill the Fury bar and trigger a rampage: the full moon. On these days it's nearly impossible to avoid getting a full bar, at least not without the right abilities.

How to Manage a Rampaging Werewolf

Sims 4 werewolf reaching full fury and rampaging

At some point, werewolf players will have to deal with a full Fury bar, leading to a rampage. It's easiest to manage if the werewolf Sim lives alone, as they'll mostly just stand around if autonomy is low or off entirely. With it on, they might scratch furniture or break some appliances -- something werewolves have to deal with anyway because of their strength. However, werewolves living with family, friends, or transforming in public will terrify the other Sims and may even cause harm or bite them.

It can get a bit messy, but it's best if rampaging werewolves stay at home behind a locked door. Werewolf Sims can be contained by another Sim locking the door to the room they're in, keeping damage to a minimum and protecting other Sims. There are also certain abilities which can help a Sim deal with their rampage. The Will to Resist gives werewolf Sims a chance to take a breath and calm down instantly, while Lunar Resistance can protect a werewolf from the full moon's effects. These are key to keeping the beast within under control and preventing others from getting caught in their path. However, if Simmers are looking to do the opposite, there are plenty of ways to become a terror of the night.
