Fans of The Sims 4 rejoiced as a leak confirmed the long-anticipated -- and sometimes begged for -- addition of a werewolf life state to the game.

Sims Community confirmed the leak, sharing images taken from The Sims Germany after its website accidentally revealed the new Game Pack. The new pack, titled The Sims 4: Werewolves, finally adds a life state present in the three previous versions of the game but absent in The Sims 4 since its release in 2014. Besides a werewolf that looks decidedly more wolf-like than in the last Sims editions, the pack includes new hairstyles and a brand new world called Moonwood Mill. The full cover can be seen below.

Based on specific details from the image, including the same jewelry on both, it appears the werewolf/Sim pair in the middle are the same character but showcase both forms. Each of the human Sims seen on the cover sports a new hairstyle, while one has scars on their legs that seem to befit the overall theme of the Game Pack. For the moment, the details remain scarce, though perhaps due to the leak or just as part of general advertisement, the main menu for The Sims 4 revealed the first clear look at Moonwood Mill.

The werewolves Game Pack and two new kits were first teased at the beginning of May as part of The Sims 4's "Lights Out" summer releases. At the time, some fans expressed frustration as they felt the newer DLC for The Sims 4 had become too small and uninteresting, with several lamenting the lack of a true Expansion Pack yet for 2022. Others quickly jumped on the apparent themes shown in the teaser trailer, with several excitedly pointing to hints they would finally get werewolves in The Sims 4. The fervor for werewolves became so prevailing that when two new kits were announced later in May, many fans expressed more concern over the lack of the furry life state than the content of the kits themselves.

Although The Sims 4: Werewolves Game Pack is confirmed through the leak, the DLC has yet to be officially announced. For that, fans have to wait until the official trailer launches on June 2 at 8 AM PT. There has been no leak on the release date yet, though the Moonlit Chic Kit and Little Campers Kit were released one week after being announced, and the initial teaser trailer promised DLC in May and June, putting the Game Pack's likely launch sometime in the next few weeks.

The Sims 4 is available to play now on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
