The Simpsons, or rather Maggie Simpson herself, are heading back to the big screen in a new theatrical short entitled Playdate with Destiny, which will play before Disney and Pixar's upcoming film Onward.

Announced on the official Simpsons Instagram account, the news comes with a teaser image of Maggie and an unnamed baby dressed in rather fancy clothes looking outward on a beautiful European village from a balcony while the sun sets.

"Maggie Simpson is speechless...," the image's description reads. "Playdate with Destiny, a new Simpsons short film before Disney & Pixar’s Onward. Exclusively in theaters!" The plot of the short is currently unknown.

This isn't the first time Maggie has headlined a theatrical short. The youngest member of the Simpson family was the focus of the Academy Award-nominated 2012 short Maggie Simpson in "The Longest Daycare," which played before Ice Age: Continental Drift. However, this will mark the first time a Simpsons short has played before a movie produced by the franchise's new owner, Disney.
