Break out the donuts and Duff beer, because The Simpsons will be attending its first D23 Expo.

In a press release, it was announced that the long-running animated series will have a panel in the D23 Expo Arena on Saturday, Aug. 24 at 10 a.m. where fans will learn what will happen in the show's upcoming 31st season. Among the panelists will be series creator Matt Groening, Executive Producers Al Jean and Matt Selman, Supervising Director Mike B. Anderson and the voices of Bart and Lisa themselves, Nancy Cartwright and Yeardley Smith, respectively.

In addition, the panel will feature surprises, such as a collectible item for attendees. Afterwards, fans will get a chance to meet Groening and the other panelists during a one-hour signing session for an exclusive Simpsons mini poster. Fans will also be able to interact with the Simpson family on the convention floor during the expo.

First airing on Dec. 17, 1989, The Simpsons has gone on to become the longest-running cartoon on television, in addition to being Fox's longest-running show. During its run, the series has amassed several awards, including 34 Annie Awards and 7 People's Choice Awards. In 2016, Vulture named the show "The Best TV Show Ever," while Time dubbed it "The Best Show of the 20th Century." Recently, following Disney's purchase of 21st Century Fox, the series was included with the assets now owned by Disney.
