Over the 25-year history of The Simpsons, Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie have been featured in a lot of video games, from 1991's The Simpsons Arcade Game to 2012's Tapped Out. And come next month, they'll make the leap into the world of Minecraft.

Xbox has partnered with 20th Century Fox Consumer Products to debut The Simpsons content packs for Minecraft Xbox 360 and Xbox One editions, featuring not only the Simpsons clan but also 19 characters from Springfield Elementary.

“We have an active community of more than 17 million die-hard Minecrafters on Xbox Live enjoying the wide range of downloadable content on Xbox, and they have been clamoring for us to bring Simpsons characters to the game,” Phil Spencer, head of Xbox, said in a statement. “We are thrilled to partner with Twentieth Century Fox and Gracie Films to bring The Simpsons to life on Minecraft Xbox 360 and Xbox One editions. I can’t wait to see what the community creates.”

Minecraft’s The Simpsons downloadable content pack will arrive in late February for $1.99 on release in late February Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Other platforms will be announced later.
