Since the on-screen introduction of Garth Ennis' The Boys, there's been no shortage of comparisons for the Seven against other notable superhero groups. Although they're comprised of more anti-heroes than actual superheroes, it'd still be interesting to see how they stack up against other super-powered teams. So, what would happen if the Seven squared off with Earth's Mightiest Heroes?

For the purposes of a fairly even comparison, we'll pin the Seven against mainly the early Phase 1 Avengers. If you were to include the constantly-expanding Avengers team, there really wouldn't be much of a fight at all. Considering overall skills of the teams, and leaving out strictly individual battles, let's see who would emerge victorious in a heavyweight tilt between the Seven and the Avengers.

10 Ruthlessness: The Seven

This one really isn't even close. Yes, in certain situations the Avengers will go in for the kill. However, they have also been known for showing restraint against their enemies. The Seven, on the other hand, pretty much show zero restraint when it comes to slaying their foes.

Homelander especially almost always just surpasses any kind of moral control and simply slices through his enemies with his laser vision. If it came down to a battle between the two groups, the Seven would certainly prioritize killing much more than their Avengers counterparts.

9 Tactical Advantage: Avengers

Once again, really a no-brainer here. The Seven obviously don't lack in strength, but they do lack any kind of cohesion as a team or strategy when it comes to combat. The Avengers are comprised of geniuses like Iron Man and spies like Black Widow who could outwit any member of the Seven in an instant during any kind of fight. Between the prominent intellect of the Avengers and the logical instability of the Seven, there is really no contest when it comes to the tactical and strategical abilities of each group.

8 Heavy Hitter Advantage: The Seven

Homelander Maeve

Even though the Avengers are stacked with the strength of heroes like Thor, the Hulk, and Captain America, it doesn't compare to the over-powered members of the Seven. Those heavy hitters can be the defining factor of a battle, strictly outdoing their counterparts with their raw strength.

In this comparison, you really just need to look at one person. If the Avengers were to battle the Justice League, would they be able to take down Superman? No, they likely wouldn't. So how could they hope to stand a chance against Homelander? The Hulk and Thor might be able to give him a run for his money, but at the end of the day, Homelander could overpower any member of the Avengers with ease.

7 Main Inherent Powers: The Seven

A-Train preparing for a race

This category is one of few that will actually pin the abilities of individual members against those of their enemies. Obviously, Homelander and Queen Maeve would pose a serious threat against the Avengers with their super strength and perceived invincibility, but it's characters like A-Train who would be the hardest for the Avengers to take down. As we saw in the Amazon series, he would be able to literally run through members like Black Widow, Hawkeye, and maybe even Iron Man.

The Avengers would have to rely on their expanded team if they wanted to outdo the Seven based on inherent power. Otherwise, Thor would really be their only advantage in this battle. However, even the power of the God of Thunder doesn't compare to the combined abilities of the Seven.

6  External Powers: Avengers

In all honesty, the Seven don't really have anything going for them here. The group pretty much relies solely on their given powers, all of which include no sort of external weapon. On the flip side, the Avengers are loaded with external powers like Iron Man's armor, Thor's hammer Mjolnir, and even Cap's shield.

So, if it came down to a contest of utilizing non-given internal abilities, the Avengers would run away with it. Also, that's just considering the weapons of individual members and not the universe at large. Obviously, if the Avengers were to use something like, you know, the Infinity Gauntlet to their advantage, they would absolutely decimate the Seven along with everyone else in their world.

5 Back Up: Avengers

It's fairly well-known that the Seven aren't exactly the most well-liked bunch in their universe. So, if it came down to fight time, they'd really have no one on their side.

The Avengers have literally hundreds of heroes to rely on if they needed back up in battle. Even if they were to tap characters like Ant-Man or War Machine, leaving out some of their most powerful allies, to join their side, they'd have no problem in outnumbering and overpowering the Seven.

4 Enemy Assistance Advantage: Avengers

Does Amazon's interpretation of the Seven even have any superpowered enemies? It seems like their biggest foe consists of Billy Butcher and Hughie Campbell. If it came down to tapping on rivals for help in an all-out war, the Avengers easily take the advantage. With the assistance of literally one of their many powerful enemies, such as Ultron or Doctor Doom, Earth's Mightiest Heroes could squash the Seven.

Also, if they really wanted to make this battle an unfair one, the Avengers could simply seek help from some of the universes' most powerful beings like Thanos or Galactus.

3 Established Victory: Avengers

If you think about it, what battles have the Seven really won as a group? Through the eight-episode first season of The Boys, there wasn't one moment in which all Seven of the supe group collectively took down an enemy.

On the other hand, the Avengers have countless victories on their resume and some coming against the most powerful foes we've ever seen. When it comes to the established victories of the Seven and the Avengers, there, once again, really is no comparison.

2 Battlefield Removal: Avengers

Here we go again. When it comes to getting the enemy off the battlefield Doctor Strange could take care of things on his own, giving the Avengers the win. Unless Homelander wanted to fly away one enemy at a time, which he clearly doesn't like to do as we saw during THAT plane scene, the Seven are completely out of luck here.

1 Winner: Avengers

Even just the base Avengers are loaded with overpowered heroes with both inherent and external abilities. Although the Seven obviously have plenty of strength and power on their side as well, they just simply don't come together as a team anywhere close to the way the Avengers do.

If these two groups were to battle one another, it would probably be more one-sided than you might expect. However, it would certainly be legendary to see the Hulk or Thor go against Homelander, or see how someone like Iron Man strategizes to take down the "invincible" Translucent. With all these aspects in mind, the Avengers should have no problem taking down the Seven in this epic tilt with the massive range of powered heroes along with the magic and intellect on their side.
