The following contains light spoilers for The Santa Clauses, now streaming on Disney+.

Viewers without a Disney+ subscription can now get a sneak peek of The Santa Clauses on cable television.

In an official statement signed by Santa Claus himself, the streaming service confirmed that the first two episodes of The Santa Clauses will premiere on cable television on four separate occasions. The sequel series first airs on Freeform on Dec. 16, followed by a marathon of the original film trilogy. The Santa Clauses will also premiere on FX on Dec. 17, ABC on Christmas Eve and Disney Channel on Christmas Day.

On Dec. 14, The Santa Clauses released its sixth and final episode of Season 1 on Disney+. However, Christmas came early for fans with news of a second season of The Santa Clauses. Disney Branded Television president Ayo Davis called the renewal "a true gift" and praised the iconic Santa Clause brand. "This franchise has had a lasting impact for so many families, truly becoming part of their annual holiday traditions," she said.

Released in 1994, The Santa Clause stars Tim Allen as Scott Calvin, a recently divorced father who spends Christmas Eve with his young son Charlie. Suddenly, a loud noise awakens Scott and Charlie, and they discover Santa slumped dead in front of their house. After Scott puts on Santa's suit, a contract binds him to become the next Father Christmas. The Santa Clause received two sequels before the Disney+ series premiered.

Nearly 30 years after accepting the responsibility of delivering presents every Christmas, Scott has now considered stepping down from the position. "[A]s Christmas declines in popularity, so does his Santa magic. Scott struggles to keep up with the demands of the job, as well as being there for his family," reads Season 1's official synopsis. To retire from the jolly guy's suit, Scott must find a successor fit for the job.

In addition to Allen returning as Santa Claus, The Santa Clauses also features Elizabeth Mitchell, Eric Lloyd and David Krumholtz reprising their roles from the original film trilogy. Krumholtz made his highly anticipated return as Bernard in "Chapter Five: Across the Yule-Verse" and explained his absence. "I met someone. A human," Bernard confessed to Scott.

Concerning other plot holes in The Santa Clause franchise, Allen previously revealed his confusion surrounding the former Kris Kringle's disappearance. The Toy Story actor pondered why the elves didn't ask what happened to the ex-Santa Claus. "I never understood, even in the movie, why the elves, when I showed up at the North Pole didn't go, 'Hey what happened to the other guy?'" Allen said.
