Black Adam star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson shared a video capturing his daughter's reaction to the teaser for his upcoming DC antihero film, proving himself a "cool" dad in the process.

The brief video showed Johnson and his daughter Tiana, aged 3, watching the concept trailer for Black Adam, released at last year's DC FanDome virtual event. After she viewed the teaser at rapt attention, Johnson asked his daughter if she was excited for the movie. She kept her reply simple, responding with "Cool" before going back to her breakfast. Johnson gratefully accepted the endorsement, saying,"I'll take cool."

"She's become quite obsessed with the Man in Black," Johnson wrote in the video's caption. "And unlike Maui from Moana, Tia actually believes Black Adam & Daddy are one in the same."

Last year, Johnson posted a similar series of videos on Instagram in which he and Tiana sang Maui's "You're Welcome" from Disney's Moana. Despite his perfect pitch, however, Tiana just couldn't buy the story that her dad's voice was the one on the original recording. Conversely, Tiana seemed to grasp that her dad will indeed be starring in next year's Black Adam, and she even sounded a little excited. But even her immeasurable hype wasn't enough to crown Johnson's Black Adam as her favorite DC hero. "She still crushes on [Jason Mamoa as] AquaMan though..." Johnson conceded.

Black Adam will tell the origin story of Teth-Adam, a slave-turned-liberator from Kahndaq who becomes an antihero after gaining godlike powers. The film is a spinoff from 2019's Shazam!, whose starring hero of the same name is Adam's comic book arch-nemesis. Johnson's DC Extended Universe debut was originally scheduled for a December 2020 release date, but the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic forced Adam's production into a lengthy delay.

After filming for Black Adam finally began in April  2021, Johnson spent months of shooting sharing a plethora of behind-the-scenes info about the film, including an early sneak peek at the Black Adam costume and a tease of the film's "cutting edge" visual effects. Johnson proudly confirmed filming wrapped in July, and Adam is now slated for release next summer. 2020's FanDome teaser only revealed a few choice details about Black Adam with some concept art and a voiceover, but DC confirmed more details are coming soon. Black Adam will appear again at DC FanDome 2021, which takes place on Oct. 16, alongside fellow DC films, The Batman and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.

Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra and starring Dwayne Johnson, Noah Centineo, Aldis Hodge, Sarah Shahi, Quintessa Swindell and Pierce Brosnan, Black Adam arrives in theaters July 29, 2022.
