New details regarding Naomi Ackie's character in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker have been revealed.
In an interview with Variety at D23 Expo in Anaheim, California, Ackie described her character Jannah as a "fierce, strong, powerful woman" who wields a bow and arrow and rides an Orbak, which are a horse-like animal.
As for what side Jannah will fall on, Ackie could only say that she has spent "years pulling that together to potentially fight for what is right... maybe."
Plot details about The Rise of Skywalker are scarce at the time. However, the movie is said to be the final installment focusing on the Skywalker family, who have been integral to the series since the original film in 1977. It will also feature the return of Ian McDiarmid's Emperor Palpatine despite his apparent death in Return of the Jedi.
