The Outpost follows Talon (Green), the only remaining survivor of a race called the “Blackbloods.” Seeking revenge for the death of her family, Talon travels to the edge of the world in search of a lawless fortress. On the way, she discovers that she is gifted with a supernatural power that she must use to defend the world against a fanatical dictator.

The news comes as a bit of a surprise considering the rating numbers for the series. The Season 2 finale, which aired on Sep. 26, brought in 590,000 total viewers and averaged .13 in the 18-49 demo, dow 6.09% and 7.69% when compared to Season 1, respectively.

Returning summer 2020 on The CW, The Outpost stars Jessica Green, Jake Stormoen, Imogen Waterhouse, Anand Desai-Barochia, Andrew Howard, Robyn Malcolm and Kevin McNally.
