John Krasinski, who starred as Jim Halpert in The Office, is on board for a reunion special of the popular NBC mockumentary sitcom.

"The Office was absolutely everything to me," Krasinski told Esquire. "I mean it is my beginning and my end. I'm pretty sure at the end of my career I'll still be known for Jim. That was my first experience with Hollywood. It was the first creative family I've ever had. In many ways, they will always be the most important people in that most important experience in my career. So yeah, if they did a reunion, I would absolutely love to do it.”

While there is no official word on a reunion, the Chairman of NBCUniversal Cable, Bonnie Hammer, has expressed interest in bringing a reboot of The Office to the upcoming NBC streaming service, Peacock. The series was recently said to be leaving Netflix, despite being one of the streaming service's most-watched shows.

The Office made its initial premiere on March 24, 2005 and ran for 201 episodes across nine seasons. The series' main cast featured Krasinski alongside the likes of Steve Carell, Rainn Wilson, Jenna Fischer, B. J. Novak and Mindy Kaling, among others.
