The OA has reached its end. Netflix has cancelled the drama series after two seasons.

"We are incredibly proud of the 16 mesmerizing chapters of The OA, and are grateful to Brit and Zal for sharing their audacious vision and for realizing it through their incredible artistry," Netflix head of originals Cindy Holland said in a statement. "We look forward to working with them again in the future, in this and perhaps many other dimensions."

Created by Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij, the series followed Prairie Johnson (Marling), a young woman who resurfaces after disappearing for seven years. When she returned, she was cured of her blindness and called herself the OA, or the Original Angel. The show explored what happened to her in that time span, before opening itself up into multidimensional travel in Season 2.

Both seasons of The OA are currently streaming on Netflix. It stars Brit Marling, Emory Cohen, Phyllis Smith, Brendan Meyer, Ian Alexander, Jason Isaacs, Will Brill, Sharon Van Etten, Paz Vega, Chloe Levine and Kingsley Ben-Adir.
