The Nevers is an HBO series that explores a world where those with supernatural powers -- the Touched -- are cast out from society, leading them to only trust those that are like them.

In the HBO series' upcoming episode, "Ignition," Amalia (Laura Donnelly) decides to recruit an unlikely ally to join her mission -- to grow the reach of the orphanage that she created for their kind to survive persecution. Rochelle Neil's Annie Carbey, aka Bonfire, a prior member of Maladie's team, will be asked to help guide the Touched under Amalia's care.

Newly released images from The Nevers' Episode 3 show a sneak peek at Amalia's bargaining, as she attempts to find a way to convince Bonfire to join her and Penance's team.

Previously on The Nevers, Annie put herself in a position that is without alliance. In Episode 1, Maladie's gang bombards a staged reenactment of Faust to recruit a Touched individual who can sing like an angel. Unbeknownst to them, Amalia previously had a vision that she too needed to save this angel and take her under her wing, leading the two groups to fight for her.

Annie, under the guidance of Maladie, finds the singer, Mary, and the two attempt to take her from the stage. However, a battle between both Maladie and Amalia quickly ensues. Although Annie and Maladie take Mary, Amalia follows them. Ultimately, Maladie gives Amalia an impossible ultimatum to save Mary or Penance, to which Amalia responds by shooting herself and Maladie. As a result, this action gains a kind of respect from Annie, who then chooses to use her fireball power against Maladie, giving Amalia time to escape their lair.
