A redacted letter signed by the green amphibian himself with a stamp of approval from Joe the Legal Weasel. Kermit's tweet reads, "Coming exclusively to #DisneyPlus in 2020, The Muppets proudly present Muppets Now, a new short-form unscripted series! I’d love to tell you more, but Joe The Legal Weasel is right behind me. Gulp!"

The last series featuring the Muppets was The Muppets, aired on ABC for the 2015-16 television season. The mockumentary parody was met with mixed reviews, dismal ratings and controversy from parents' groups, with a change in format happening halfway through the series.

Muppets Now premieres on Disney+ in 2020.
