A new trailer for The Matrix Resurrections is coming very, very soon.Warner Bros. and HBO Max have dropped a new promo for The Matrix Resurrections, which confirms that the film's next full trailer will drop tomorrow, Dec. 6. The 27-second teaser released today features new footage from the next film in the Matrix saga (which will presumably be included in tomorrow's trailer as well), including an apparent kiss between franchise mainstays Neo (Keanu Reeves) and Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss). It also teases that "the most important choice in Neo's life is not his to make."RELATED: The Matrix Gets Even More Meta in New Resurrections Teasers

Directed and co-written by Lana Wachowski, The Matrix Resurrections is the fourth entry in the Matrix film series. Alongside her sister, Lilly Wachowski, Lana wrote and directed The Matrix, which hit theaters back in 1999 and would come to define a generation of action movies. The Wachowskis subsequently returned to write and direct two sequels, The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions, both of which released in 2003.

Lilly Wachowski is not involved in The Matrix Resurrections, making it the first film in the franchise to be directed solely by Lana Wachowski, who penned the movie's script alongside David Mitchell and Aleksandar Hemon. Set 20 years after the events of Revolutions, Resurrections follows Neo (aka Thomas A. Anderson) as his mind is re-opened to the world of the Matrix.

In addition to Reeves reprising his role as Neo and Moss reprising her role as Trinity, Resurrections sees Matrix trilogy alums Jada Pinkett Smith, Lambert Wilson and Daniel Bernhardt return as Niobe, The Merovingian and Agent Johnson, respectively. Hugo Weaving will not reprise his role as Agent Smith, nor is Laurence Fishburne expected to reprise his role as Morpheus. That said, Morpheus will indeed be in the movie, now played by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. Similarly, Priyanka Chopra Jonas takes over the role of Sati, originally played by Tanveer K. Atwal.

Speaking of franchise newcomers, Resurrections also stars Jessica Henwick as Bugs and Eréndira Ibarra as Lexy. Meanwhile, Jonathan Groff, Neil Patrick Harris, Christina Ricci, Telma Hopkins, Max Riemelt, Toby Onwumere, Brian J. Smith, Andrew Caldwell and Ellen Hollman have all been cast in undisclosed roles.
