Marvel Comics has given CBR an exclusive preview of The Marvels #1, by Kurt Busiek, Yildiray Cinar and Richard Isanove. In the preview, Steve Rogers/Captain America confronts Lady Lotus, who first menaced the Sentinel of Liberty in 1979's Invaders #37. While at first Captain America seems to be alone, he's soon joined by a team that includes Tony Stark/Iron Man, Ororo Munroe/Storm, Felicia Hardy/Black Cat, Human Torch, Lei Ling/Aero and Aarkus/Golden Age Vision. They're joined by newcomers Warbird and Kevin Schumer.

Little is known about Warbird and Schumer at this time, and CBR's preview of The Marvels #1 doesn't provide much more information on them. Another new character set to appear in the book, Threadneedle, does not seem to appear in the preview.
