The Mandalorian star Emily Swallow recently teased that the Armorer will have a bigger role in the Star Wars series' upcoming third season.

Swallow discussed her character's future in an interview with ScreenRant. "She will [have a bigger presence in Season 3], yes," Swallow said. "So maybe we'll learn more, or maybe she'll remain a mystery." The actor also revealed that The Mandalorian creator Jon Favreau and executive producer Dave Filoni haven't shared many details of the Armorer's backstory with her. This has allowed Swallow to come up with her own mental history for the Mandalorian tribe chief, which she tweaks to suit the needs of any given scene.

The Armorer last appeared in The Book of Boba Fett, Episode 5, "Chapter 5: Return of the Mandalorian," in which she banished Din Djarin from her clan. Although this adds an antagonistic edge to her relationship with Djarin, The Mandalorian's real villain remains Moff Gideon, who is set to return in Season 3. Actor Giancarlo Esposito recently hinted at Gideon's motives in the upcoming season, suggesting the Imperial commander is planning something big. "Why can't he just live in peace in his own little piece of paradise?" he said. "There's gotta be a reason that he's bringing all of [the other Imperial wardens] together because he must have an agenda of his own."

Based on Esposito's comments, Din Djarin will be lucky to make it out of Season 3 alive. But if he does, star Pedro Pascal is eager for a team-up between The Mandalorian and Poe Dameron. Pascal acknowledged that such a partnership would be tricky given Dameron is only a young boy during the events of The Mandalorian, but nevertheless insisted he was keen for the characters to join forces. "I would be very old [when the team-up happened]. But I would survive just for that, to meet Poe Dameron," he said.

While Pascal seems enthusiastic about Din Djarin's future, the actor has made it clear he doesn't know how The Mandalorian will end. He is also adamant that these denials are genuine, and not an attempt to safeguard spoilers. "I have no idea [how The Mandalorian will end]," he said, in a recent interview. "Like, look into my eyes, I have no idea."

Someone who might know is Jon Favreau, who previously confirmed that he's already started writing scripts for The Mandalorian Season 4. Favreau added that the fourth season's story will be influenced by Dave Filoni's scripts for another Star Wars series, Ahsoka.

The Mandalorian Seasons 1 and 2 are currently streaming on Disney+. Season 3 is set to arrive in February 2023.
