This article contains spoilers for The Mandalorian Season 3 Episode 4. "Chapter 20: The Foundling."

The Mandalorian Season 3 just welcomed back The Book of Boba Fett star Temuera Morrison for a sneaky cameo.

While Morrison didn't don the helmet of the iconic bounty and current crime lord of Tatooine, the actor is still credited for playing the members of the 501st Legion of clone troopers. Appearing during a vision sequence wherein Grogu recalls the Jedi that helped him escape the temple during Order 66, several members of the iconic squadron of warriors are seen in the battle. The episode's credits confirm Morrison once again donned the white and blue armor to portray the clone troopers. It's unknown whether the actor was actually equipped with the uniform or if he voiced the soldiers.

This isn't the first time Morrison has cameoed in a Disney+ series as a clone trooper. He also briefly appeared as a down-on-his-luck clone in Obi-Wan Kenobi. The moment in question simply sees the disheveled warrior begging the Jedi for some spare credits but it was a significant scene for Morrison for a surprising reason. "The only time I got to wear [physical clone trooper armor] was in that little [Obi-Wan Kenobi] cameo appearance," the actor said. While the army of identical soldiers sports his appearance in both Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones and Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, the outfits were all created with CGI.

Could Boba Fett Return?

It remains unknown whether Morrison will reprise the role of Boba Fett in the future as many fans are still wondering whether the famed assassin could still feature in The Mandalorian Season 3. If he does return, the actor under the helmet admitted that he'd like to return the character to his roots. "We reintroduced him. We found out some stuff. But I think it’s time to get him back to his badass ways. No two ways around that," said Morrison. "So, I think we sort of have that scope to go back there, but that's out of my control. I'll just see what happens." As for whether a second season of The Book of Boba Fett could someday happen, rumors abound that Lucasfilm is currently developing a follow-up.

The Mandalorian Season 3 is now streaming on Disney+ with new episodes dropping every Wednesday.
