The Mandalorian's Pedro Pascal recently revealed that he's known that The Child's real name was Grogu for a lot longer than Star Wars fans.

"I did know," Pascal said. "At the start of Season 2. I mean, when I got the scripts for Season 2," the actor told ET in a recent press interview for Wonder Woman 1984.

He added, "And, um, my favorite thing about it is how part of the creative process [is that] I'm at least invited to at least observe the experience and contribute whatever will occur to me. And so, Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni, they get me the scripts before we get into shooting. So, I know it all, baby!"

Pascal also revealed in the interview that he has "no idea" how many more seasons of The Mandalorian will air on Disney+, noting, "Because quality is always going to override quantities." He continued, "So as long as it's staying at this incredible standard, which it is at, it's more a matter of that than anything else. You know what I mean?"

The real name of The Child -- aka Baby Yoda -- was revealed in the Season 2 episode titled "Chapter 13: The Jedi." In the episode, bounty hunter Din Djarin (Pascal) traveled to the city of Calodan, on the forest planet of Corvus, in order to return The Child to his people.

During the trip, former Jedi Ahsoka Tano used The Force to access The Child's memories and learned his real name. It was revealed that Grogu was raised by masters at the Jedi Temple, but was so traumatized by his kidnapping that he'd been hiding his Force abilities.
