The following contains spoilers for The Mandalorian Season 3, Episode 8, "Chapter 24: The Return," streaming now on Disney+.

The Mandalorian Season 3 finale, "Chapter 24: The Return," scrapped a scene featuring Pedro Pascal's Din Djarin without his helmet on, according to a new report.

The report comes courtesy of YouTube series The Hot Mic, which is produced by established scoopers Jeff Sneider and John Rocha. "I'm told that Pedro not being in the Mandalorian finale was a scheduling thing... [that's why] he wasn't seen, or whatever, in the Mandalorian finale," Sneider said. "That was simply a matter of scheduling, with [HBO series] The Last of Us in first position for him, and [I understand] that he was on set for a couple of episodes this past season and that he's not going anywhere." However, as Lucasfilm is yet to publicly address this report, its contents should be taken with a grain of salt for now.

Pascal's amount of literal face time in The Mandalorian has been a talking point in recent weeks, following online buzz regarding how it allegedly affected the star's salary negotiations. A recent report contends that Lucasfilm initially tried to pay Pascal the lower rate it offers to voice actors, given stunt doubles Brendan Wayne, Lateef Crowder and Barry Lowin regularly stand in for the Chilean-American actor on set. Pascal objected to being paid as a voice actor, which supposedly resulted in a scene being added to the Mandalorian Season 1 finale in which Din Djarin's unmasked mug is shown. The addition of this scene was apparently enough to secure Pascal a standard actor's fee.

Is John Boyega Returning to Star Wars?

The final episode of The Mandalorian's third season wasn't the only Star Wars-related topic covered by Sneider and Rocha. The pair also discussed the upcoming, untitled movie headlined by the Star Wars Sequel Trilogy's Daisy Ridley, with Rocha claiming that Ridley's former co-star John Boyega is also onboard for the film. Rocha cited multiple unnamed sources close to the production who allege that Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy has successfully wooed Boyega, who previously portrayed reformed First Order stormtrooper Finn, back to a galaxy far, far away. The British actor is not officially attached to the production at this stage, however.
