The Mandalorian star Pedro Pascal promises Star Wars fans that surprises are on the way in Season 3.

Shared on YouTube, while discussing the show at Comic Con Experience 2022 (CCXP), Pascal brought up how the introduction of Baby Grogu was kept a secret until the show premiered back in 2019, as well as Jedi Luke Skywalker's live-action return in the series' Season 2 finale. "I think some of the best things about Season 1 and Season 2 of The Mandalorian were the surprises," Pascal said, referring to the two character appearances. "There's so much that you're going to see," Pascal initially teased for Season 3, later adding, "There are more secrets to keep."

It was announced during CCXP that The Mandalorian Season 3 will premiere March 1, 2023 on Disney+, the release date shared on Twitter with an image of Din Djarin (Pascal) and Grogu. Though the two part ways at the end of The Mandalorian Season 2, another Star Wars Disney+ series -- The Book of Boba Fett -- bridges the gap between The Mandalorian Season 2 and Season 3. Din Djarin and Grogu both appear in The Book of Boba Fett, which ends with the two reunited and flying off together.

What surprises remain in store for Mando, Grogu and fans remain to be seen, but Season 2 featured surprises from other familiar faces in the Star Wars galaxy. In addition to Luke Skywalker, appearances were made by Ashoka Tano (Rosario Dawson), Cobb Vanth (Timothy Olyphant), Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison) and Bo-Katan Kryze (Katee Sackoff). For Bo-Katan specifically, she is another Mandalorian previously been seen in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels, and is a former ruler of Mandalore.

The Mandalorian Season 3 Features an Important Star Wars Locale

The official teaser trailer for The Mandalorian Season 3 shows that Bo-Katan will return, as well as Mandalore. It appears that Din Djarin will travel to the decimated planet in the hopes of redeeming himself, being that he went against his religion as one of the "Children of the Watch" by removing his helmet in front of others. The teaser trailer shows that Djarin and Bo-Katan will not be the only Mandalorians in Season 3, and will be joined by many others.

Aside from The Mandalorian, more Star Wars series are set to come out in the future. Dawson will reprise her role as Ahsoka Tano from The Mandalorian Season 2 for the upcoming Ahsoka series, which seems to be continuing the story of Star Wars Rebels. Rebels characters like Sabine Wren and Ezra Bridger have been cast for the show, the former played by Natasha Liu Bordizzo and the latter by Eman Esfandi.

The Mandalorian Season 3 begins streaming March 1, 2023 on Disney+.
