Disney's hit Star Wars series The Mandalorian is set to premiere its second season in less than a month. Although the trailer and official synopsis have already been released, fans still don't know much about what will happen next in Din Djarin's journey. Nevertheless, rumors have been circling for months about who will be joining the cast in Season 2. Some guest stars have been confirmed, but Disney has yet to officially announce who any of the new additions will be playing.

Even without Disney's confirmation, the possible inclusion of fan-favorite characters from all corners of the Star Wars universe has audiences even more excited for Season 2 than they already were. Here are the most anticipated guest stars and who their characters will most likely be in The Mandalorian Season 2.

Sasha Banks as Sabine Wren

While fans have yet so see what most of the guest stars will look like on the show, they got their first glance at Sasha Banks in the Season 2 trailer. The professional wrestler was seen sporting a dark, hooded cloak before she mysteriously vanished into thin air. There's been plenty of speculation that she could be playing anyone from a new Jedi to an Imperial Inquisitor. Some even thought that she might be playing Ahsoka Tano, but given her appearance in the trailer and the rumors that another actress will be portraying that character, this seems unlikely. Instead, most believe that Banks will be portraying Sabine Wren from the animated series Star Wars Rebels.

Sabine Wren was a Mandalorian warrior and a leader during the early days of the rebellion against the Galactic Empire. She was last seen embarking on a quest with Ahsoka to find their missing friend, Ezra Bridger. Given her Mandalorian background and her personal history with the Darksaber which appeared in the Season 1 finale, Sabine seems like a natural choice to crossover into The Mandalorian.

Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka Tano

After months of rumors, Rosario Dawson was finally confirmed to be appearing in Season 2 on Disney+ Germany's Instagram story. As for who the actress will be playing, almost all sources point to former Jedi Padawan Ahsoka Tano. Since Season 2 appears to be gearing up to explore the mythos of the Jedi, it would make sense to introduce a former Jedi to potentially educate and guide Mando and the Child. Plus, Ahsoka was last seen with Sabine Wren and unless they already completed their quest and found Ezra, they would probably still be together.

Introduced in the animated film, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Ahsoka has since appeared in the Clone Wars series as well as Rebels. While she got off to a rough start, fans eventually warmed to the character and many have been hoping that she would make the jump to live action. With Dawson's casting confirmed, it looks like they might just get their wish.

Timothy Olyphant as Cobb Vanth

Along with Dawson, Timothy Olyphant was also confirmed as a guest star on the same Disney+ Instagram story. Even before the confirmation, reports were claiming that Olyphant had been spotted on set wearing what appeared to be Boba Fett's armor. While this led some to believe that he would be playing the bounty hunter, it has since been confirmed that another actor will be taking on the role. Now, fans are speculating that he could be playing a lesser-known character, Cobb Vanth.

Cobb Vanth first appeared in the 2015 novel Star War: Aftermath. Cobb was a slave who later became sheriff of a town on Tatooine. By five years after the Battle of Yavin, he had acquired a set of Mandalorian armor from some Jawas. Although it wasn't explicitly stated, many believe the armor to be that of Boba Fett who seemingly met his demise on the desert planet. The return of the bounty hunter, or at least his armor, was teased in Season 1 Episode 5, and a Tusken Raider appeared in promotional materials for Season 2, suggesting a return to Tatooine. If Olyphant isn't playing Boba Fett, Cobb Vanth would be the next logical guess.

Temuera Morrison as Boba Fett

Reports surfaced in May 2020 that Temuera Morrison would be returning to the Star Wars Universe as Boba Fett. This was seemingly confirmed by a casting website that listed the role and The Mandalorian Season 2 on Morrison's CV. Morrison previously portrayed Boba's father, Jango Fett, in Attack of the Clones. He also voiced Boba Fett in the 2004 DVD version of The Empire Strikes Back and in several video games.

Although the bounty hunter was initially killed off in Return of the Jedi, he was brought back in the now non-canonical Star Wars Legends. Boba Fett has yet to be resurrected in the new canon but as previously stated, the possibility was teased in Season 1. Despite not being a Mandalorian, Boba Fett is famous for his green Mandalorian armor which was spotted in the Season 2 trailer.

Katee Sackhoff as Bo-Katan Kryze

It was also reported in May 2020 that Katee Sackhoff would be playing a live-action version of Bo-Katan Kryze, the character she voiced in both Clone Wars and Rebels. Like Sabine, Bo-Katan was a Mandalorian warrior who rebelled against the Empire. She was also the last known wielder of the Darksaber prior to its reappearance in hands of Moff Gideon. Despite the lack of confirmation from Disney, Bo-Katan's connection to the Darksaber definitely warrants her inclusion in Season 2.

Before taking the title of Mand'alor along with the Darksaber, Bo-Katan was a member of Death Watch. While Death Watch was considered a terrorist group, it was also revealed in The Mandalorian Season 1 that the group saved Din Djarin as a child. While it's unclear whether or not Bo-Katan was still part of Death Watch when this occurred, it could serve as a point of connection for her and Din.

Created by Jon Favreau, The Mandalorian stars Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Carl Weathers, Giancarlo Esposito, Taika Waititi and Emily Swallow. Season 2 premieres Oct. 30 on Disney+.
