Many things will undoubtedly change when Season 2 of The Mandalorian premieres on Oct. 30. One constant is the episode length; much like Season 1, Season 2 will consist of eight episodes. However, series creator Jon Favreau said that the episodes will vary in length.

"There's probably even variation [in episode lengths] this year," Favreau said during an interview with Entertainment Weekly. It was also revealed that the start-up costs for Season 2 were less than Season 1, leading to a larger budget and scope for the upcoming episodes.

Favreau will helm the Season 2 premiere himself and return for writing duties as well. Other directors include Carl Weathers, who also plays Bounty Hunter Guild leader Greef Karga; Rick Famuyiwa, who helmed two Season 1 episodes; and new directors Peyton Reed (Ant-Man) and Robert Rodriguez (Alita: Battle Angel, Spy Kids). Stuntman Sam Hargrave (Extraction) will also help helm action sequences during the season.

Season 2 of The Mandalorian sees Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) searching for the home of the Force-sensitive Child, with former Imperial Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito) in hot pursuit. The season is also rumored to feature fan-favorite characters during its run, including Temuera Morrison potentially playing Boba Fett.

Created by Jon Favreau, The Mandalorian stars Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Carl Weathers, Giancarlo Esposito, Taika Waititi and Emily Swallow. Season 1 is available now on Disney+, with Season 2 premiering Oct. 30.
