Season 2 of The Mandalorian just ended, and actor Giancarlo Esposito is already talking spinoffs.

Esposito, who plays The Mandalorian's biggest baddie was excited to learn about the new Star Wars spinoffs that were announced at Disney Investor Day. However, he thought that one was missing -- a spinoff about the treacherous Moff Gideon. "I sat there and went, 'Hey, what about me?!' Esposito told Esquire. "People keep asking me, 'Why aren't you in Season 2 more?" I said, 'Because we're teasing you. I'm the heavy, and it'll take a little time to get to what Moff really wants.'"

When asked if he would be interested in any potential Mandalorian spinoffs, Esposito confirmed that he would be interested in any potential future projects, but only if there was "enough material and storyline to indulge" that possibility. "But first I want to be true to this project," he said in regards to The Mandalorian.

The season finale of The Mandalorian ended with a bang. Moff Gideon was defeated in battle, his army of dark troopers succumbed to Luke Skywalker's lightsaber and Baby Yoda went away to start his force training. However, the most exciting reveal of the finale was the announcement of the Boba Fett spinoff series. This announcement paved the way for a larger Star Wars Universe and made fans hopeful for more to come. Although there is no Moff Gideon spinoff in the works, there would definitely be support from Mandalorian fans and Esposito himself.

Created by Jon Favreau, The Mandalorian stars Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Carl Weathers and Giancarlo Esposito. Seasons 1 and 2 are now streaming on Disney+.
