A new behind-the-scenes photo from Disney+'s The Mandalorian sees The Child, aka Baby Yoda, coming face-to-face with none other than Star Wars creator George Lucas himself.The photo, shared to Twitter by The Mandalorian creator Jon Favreau, sees Lucas cradling the Baby Yoda prop in his arms and looking at it closely -- almost like a parent or grandparent might hold a young child. Following his debut at the end of The Mandalorian's premiere episode, the mysterious being fans have dubbed "Baby Yoda" quickly became a fan-favorite character from the Star Wars universe -- joining Pedro Pascal's eponymous bounty hunter on his exploits throughout the galaxy. The Disney+ series comes over 40 years after Lucas' original Star Wars film first hit theaters in the summer of 1977.

The Mandalorian recently concluded its 8-episode first season. Per Favreau himself, a second is expected to arrive this fall. What's more, photography on The Mandalorian Season 2 was revealed to have begun not long after Season 1 premiered.
