At the end of The Mandalorian Season 2, Din Djarin and his allies took down Moff Gideon and his Imperial forces. In the process, Din gained control of the Darksaber, which Bo-Katan Kryze had been looking for. However, as a result of rules surrounding the blade, Bo-Katan was unable to take the weapon from Din without beating him in combat. This is sure to cause major tension for the two going forward, and in this video, we're going to explain why Din might just end up having to beat Bo-Katan in battle.

Originally, the Darksaber was created by the first Mandalorian Jedi. Over time, though, it took on an increased significance, and became the weapon of the leader of Mandalore. The Darksaber must be earned through trial by combat, which only leaves one person standing. That being said, Sabine Wren was able to give Bo-Katan the Darksaber to kick the Empire off of Mandalore in the animated Star Wars series. This didn't turned out as planned, though, as the Empire struck Mandalore hard and sent The Mandalorians into exile, thus setting into motion the events of The Mandalorian.
