Greef Karga actor Carl Weathers promises that The Mandalorian's fast-approaching third season "is going to be slammin'."

"I can say this: I'm going to be in it," Weathers told Gambit in an interview about the next season of The Mandalorian. "I can say I directed an episode of it. I can say it's going to be slammin.' It's going to look bigger than the other seasons did. And if you're not entertained, we're coming after you." The interviewer, who had never heard of the word "slammin'" used in that way suggested Weathers to use the word "fire," to which the actor said, "Okay. Well, there ya go. It's gonna be fire. Right?"

Aside from Weathers, The Mandalorian has expanded its director line-up to include Black Panther cinematographer Rachel Morrison and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse co-director Peter Ramsay, who will helm episodes in the series' third season. Other directors confirmed for Season 3 include Minari's Lee Isaac Chung and series veterans Rick Famuyiwa and Bryce Dallas Howard. There's currently no word on whether series creator Jon Favreau will helm any installments in the upcoming season.

The Mandalorian Is Back for Season 3

The exclusive Disney+ version of The Mandalorian Season 3's official trailer includes footage not featured in YouTube version, which was released on Jan. 16 during an NFL Wild Card game. Although the YouTube trailer has been thoroughly broken down by fans, a massive Imperial Easter egg was missing from that version. Fans could now catch a shot of a Star Destroyer in front of a beaming Coruscant skyline at around the one-minute mark in the Disney+ version.

Moff Gideon actor Giancarlo Esposito has also teased a grand return for his villainous character in the upcoming season. Moff Gideon was defeated by the show's titular bounty hunter in the Season 2 finale. However, the actor has promised that fans would see Moff Gideon "rise from the ashes" like a phoenix. "You're going to get a good amount of Moff Gideon," teased Esposito. "You always want to see the phoenix rise from the ashes. Or, you want to see a nefarious villain rise from the ashes," the actor said with a wink. "And believe me, he will."

The Mandalorian Season 3 premieres March 1 on Disney+.
