WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Star Wars: The Mandalorian, Season 2, Episode 3, "Chapter 11: The Heiress," available now on Disney+.

The Mandalorian's Season 2, Episode 3 contained an homage to Ron Howard's Apollo 13.

Twitter user @Lucybri83 posted the connection on Twitter, comparing the Razorcrest falling through Trask's atmosphere to a scene in Apollo 13 where the Apollo 13 capsule reenters Earth's atmosphere. Episode director Bryce Dallas Howard confirmed the fan-finding.

"Nice catch!! 100% correct," Howard wrote. Howard's father, Ron Howard, directed Apollo 13, which chronicled the real-life lunar mission. The elder Howard is no stranger either to the Star Wars universe, having directed the feature film, Solo: A Star Wars Story. Solo chronicles the adventures of a young Han Solo (Alden Ehrenreich) during his space smuggler days and before he joined the fight against the Empire.

Howard previously directed the Season 1 episode of The Mandalorian titled "Sanctuary," which introduced Gina Carano's Cara Dune. Howard returned to helm the Season 2 episode "The Heiress," which featured an appearance from Star Wars: The Clone Wars' Bo-Katan Kryze (Katee Sackhoff) and brought the mythic Darksaber more into the plot's focus overall.

Created by Jon Favreau, The Mandalorian stars Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Carl Weathers and Giancarlo Esposito. New episodes arrive Fridays on Disney+.
