Comedian Bill Burr revealed he hasn't finished watching Season 1 of The Mandalorian, even though he plays a character (Migs Mayfeld) on the show.

After a discussion on The Mandalorian and the vision of the show's creator Jon Favreau, The Bill Bert Podcast’s co-host Bert Kreischer asked Burr, "It’s about Boba Fett and Baby Yoda, right?" Burr responded, "Uh, I haven’t really watched it." Burr clarified that he watched most of Season 1, but the holidays distracted him, as seen on Kreischer's Instagram.

"I was hoping you weren't going to ask me that," Burr said. "It's on my list of shit to watch!" he added, covering his face in his hands while laughing with Kreischer.

Burr described the series as "a spaghetti Western" to his co-host and told him to "watch it." He also added that "it's a perfect storm of a guy who's a huge fan of it... How [Favreau] sees it, is how a lot of Star Wars fans wanted to see it." Burr praised the series' creator, Jon Favreau, adding, "You got a guy who’s a huge fan of it who knows how to write and direct." He also called his creation a "standing ovation."

Burr previously joked about the Star Wars franchise on his Monday Morning Podcast, saying he appreciated Empire Strikes Back because Darth Vader almost kills Luke Skywalker (although Burr initially mistook him for Han Solo). The audio from that podcast was hilariously dubbed over footage from The Mandalorian featuring Mayfeld in a viral video.

The comedian stars in The Mandalorian in the recurring role of Migs Mayfeld, a mercenary who was previously a sharpshooter for the Empire. Mayfeld first appeared in "Chapter 6: The Prisoner" before reprising his role in Season 2's episode "Chapter 15: The Believer." It's unknown if Burr will reprise his role for The Mandalorian Season 3 at this time or if his character will appear in the series' spin-off, The Book of Boba Fett

Created by Jon Favreau, The Mandalorian stars Pedro Pascal, with guest stars Gina Carano, Carl Weathers and Giancarlo Esposito. Season 1 and Season 2 are streaming now on Disney+.
