Details about the second season have been scarce, with speculation based on casting news, primarily the addition of Sasha Banks to the cast, filling much of the void. However, Disney+ released an official synopsis for The Mandalorian Season 2:

The Mandalorian and the Child continue their journey, facing enemies and rallying allies as they make their way through a dangerous galaxy in the tumultuous era after the collapse of the Galactic Empire.

The first season of The Mandalorian was met with critical praise, earning an Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Drama Series and winning seven Creative Arts Emmy Awards. Early this year, Disney announced that pre-production for Season 3 was already underway. Giancarlo Esposito, who plays Moff Gideon, recently teased that Seasons 3 and 4 would answer many of the questions stemming from the inaugural season.

Created by Jon Favreau, The Mandalorian stars Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Carl Weathers, Giancarlo Esposito, Taika Waititi and Emily Swallow. Season 2 premieres Oct. 30 on Disney+.
