While we've only seen a bit of the new Timon and Pumbaa in the upcoming remake of The Lion King, a new clip from the film gives us a good look at the latest version of the iconic duo.
The clip shows Timon and Pumbaa.... well, being Timon and Pumba; they're cracking jokes, trying to distract Shenzi, Banzai and Ed and grossing out a young Simba by Eating from a log that's covered with bugs. They may be Slimy, yet they sure are satisfying to eat.
While all of this is going on, we hear Billy Eichner and Seth Rogan's interpretation of one of their iconic songs, "The Lion Sleeps Tonight," which was initially sung by actors Nathan Lane and Ernie Sabella, who formerly played Timon and Pumbaa in the animated film.
Opening in theaters on July 19, director Jon Favreau's The Lion King features the voices of Donald Glover, Seth Rogen, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Alfre Woodard, Billy Eichner, John Kani, John Oliver, Florence Kasumba, Eric André, Keegan-Michael Key, JD McCrary, Shahadi Wright Joseph, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter and James Earl Jones.
