Dark Horse and Nintendo have announced a new hardcover book that will explore the history of the famous game "The Legend of Zelda." The book, titled "The Legend of Zelda: Art & Artifacts," will feature 400 pages of art and interviews.
Dark Horse and Nintendo previously collaborated on "The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Historia," which featured never-before-seen concept art, the history of Hyrule, and an introduction by Shigeru Miyamoto. The success of "Hyrule Historia" inspired the new book "Art & Artifacts," which hits shelves February 21, 2017.
The 400-page hardcover will include exclusive interviews with the "Zelda" design team, the official pixel art of the first series, rare promotional art, and more. The book will also include an early look at Nintendo's new game "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild."
Nintendo Life says of the book, "Few video game franchises could ever hope to support such a weighty and significant book, and even if you've only a passing interest in the adventures of Link, this should be a permanent addition to your coffee table or bookshelf. Our fingers are crossed that the same treatment can be offered to other key Nintendo properties in the future"
"The Legend of Zelda: Art & Artifacts" debuts on February 21, 2017 and is currently available for pre-order at Amazon and Penguin Random House.
