The Legend of Vox Machina has added several major names to its expansive guest star list for Season 2.

The hit animated series based on Dungeons & Dragons let's play stream Critical Role's first campaign added Henry Winkler, Billy Boyd, Cheech Marin and Lance Reddick to its cast. Other new voices include Will Friedle, Cree Summer, Alanna Ubach, Mary Elizabeth McGlynn, Troy Baker, Sendhill Ramamurthy, and Ralph Innerson. Winkler will voice Pike Trickfoot's (Ashley Johnson) great-great-grandfather Wilhand Trickfoot, a devout follower of Sarenrae. The other roles remain under wraps.

Several prominent guest actors will also return for the second season. Stephanie Beatriz, Indira Varma, Gina Torres, Kelly Hu and Esme Creed-Miles. Creed-Miles played a significant role in Season 1 as Percy de Rolo's long-lost sister Casandra, who ended up in the clutches of the evil Lord and Lady Briarwood. While brother and sister appeared to be on the mend at the end of the first season, it remains to be seen how Vox Machina continues their story in Season 2. The show has already made significant changes to the plot, as seen when the core cast played through the arc in Campaign 1, including killing off some fan-favorite characters that survived in their D&D sessions.

The Legend of Vox Machina Season 2 picks up right where Season 1 left off, with the appearance of four chromatic dragons as they fly over Emon and begin an assault on the town. Fans of Critical Role will recognize the four as members of the Chroma Conclave, who featured prominently in Campaign 1 as major antagonists to the heroes. Season 1 already teased their appearance in the first two episodes, with Vox Machina facing and defeating one member of the Chroma Conclave in Brimscythe (voiced by David Tennant in the series).

At the same time Season 2's release window and first clip got revealed, Vox Machina announced Season 3. Amazon greenlit The Legend of Vox Machina for two seasons when it first purchased it after Critical Role's wildly successful Kickstarter campaign to animate a pair of shorts based on their first characters. While Season 2 seemingly revolves around the Chroma Conclave, The Legend of Vox Machina remains mum on what Season 3 could have in store for the adventuring party.

The Legend of Vox Machina returns to Prime Video in January 2023. It's yet to specify an exact release date.
