'The Leftovers' Heads to Texas in Season 2 Teaser Trailer

HBO has released a new teaser for "The Leftovers" that offers the first real sign of what we can expect from the second season of the challenging -- and frequently frustrating -- drama.

We already knew the series, developed by Damon Lindelof and author Tom Perrotta, was jettisoning much of its supporting cast and leaving Mapleton, New York, but now we know exactly where it's going, and have at least an idea of why.

The series is set in the aftermath of the Sudden Departure, a global Rapture-like event in which 2 percent of the world’s population suddenly vanished. In Season 2, as the teaser trailer suggests, Kevin Garvey (Justin Theroux), his family and at least some of his friends are apparently heading to the small town of Jarden, Texas, which mysteriously didn't lose any residents.

"The Leftovers" returns this fall on HBO.
