Created by Martin Nodell, Alan Scott debuted in American Comics #16 in 1940. He is the first character to bear the name Green Lantern and throughout the years, he's helped coach the other Lanterns including Kyle Rayner and Hal Jordan.

When he wasn't Green Lantern, he was also known as Sentinel. During this period of time, Scott had lost his ring, manifesting his powers through his hands instead. He took back the title of Green Lantern in the Justice Society of America comics (2003's JSA to be exact), where he is a major player.

Alan Scott also has superpowered children of his own, Jennifer Lynn Hayden aka Jade and Todd James Rice aka Obsidian. His daughter, Jenny, briefly held the title of Green Lantern when she stepped in for her boyfriend, Kyle Rayner in Green Lantern volume 3.

Alan's limited edition Funko Pop! figure does not have a release date as of yet. The site merely says it'll be "Coming Soon."
