Deadline has confirmed that Warner Bros. is moving ahead with plans for a full-length animated feature adaptation of The Jetsons. Matt Lieberman has been hired to write a script based on the classic Hanna-Barbera series.

Kanye West had actually been sketchily attached to a live action version of the series for sometime, but Warner Bros. is now set to stick with animation. Lieberman comes to the job after having written a script for an animated Scooby-Doo movie that has since been fast tracked by Warner Bros. and Atlas.

The screenwriter's past credits include Paramount Animation's Giant Monsters Attack Japan, Disney's forthcoming Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, and the Tim Hill-directed reboot of Short Circuit.
