Sylvester Stallone and Dolph Lundgren will team up again for a new series called The International.
According to The Wrap, CBS put in a put pilot order for the one-hour drama which will see Lundgren star as Anders Soto -- a solo black-ops specialist working for the U.N. who is hired to provide solutions to the world’s most complex situations.
Stallone will direct the project, while Ken Sanzel will write and executive produce. As well as starring in The International, Lundgren will also act as producer, with Stallone executive producing for Balboa Productions alongside Braden Aftergood, Tony Krantz of Flame Ventures and Craig Baumgarten.
Lundgren and Stallone have extensive experience working with one another in the past across numerous decades, including 1990’s Rocky IV and, more recently, The Expendables franchise, of which a fourth film is currently in the works. Lundgren also recently appeared in DC’s Aquaman movie, playing King Nereus. On television, he has featured in episodes of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia and The CW's Arrow. Stallone's last on-screen appearance was in Rambo: Last Blood, which is now in theaters.
