The Hangover III Will Be the Last

The boys will be back in town one final time in The Hangover III, as Warner Bros. has announced the next installment of director Todd Phillips' hit comedy series, which opens May 24, 2013, will be the last.

We've known for a while the the next film was in the works -- after making so much money for the studio it was a no-brainer, even with extended pay negotiations -- and that it would be set in Los Angeles, complete with a new plot structure. But the big news here is that the third film will be the last.

“I’m so excited to embark on another Hangover film with Bradley, Ed and Zach," Phillips said in a statement. "We’re going to surprise a lot of people with the final chapter we have planned. It will be a fitting conclusion to our three-part opera of mayhem, despair and bad decisions.”

The Hangover films star Ed Helms, Bradley Cooper and Zach Galifianakis as a trio of friends who go on trips that never, ever go well. Shootouts, unwanted tattoos and missing teeth are commonplace when the Wolfpack gets together.
