The Grudge doesn't release until next year, but its Instagram is bringing the scares early.

The account's newest post warns viewers to "lock your doors," but anyone who's watched the original films will know that things aren't quite that simple when an evil spirit has its hold on you.

This new reboot won't have anything to do with the American Grudge trilogy, which began with Sarah Michelle Gellar's starring role in the 2004 remake of the Japanese film Ju-on: The Grudge. That trilogy ended with The Grudge 3 in 2009, though the overall series continued on past that, with the most recent release being 2016's Sadako vs. Kayako crossover film with The Ring series. The reboot began production earlier this year, and the film's Instagram has sparsely been posting pictures from the set.

While the posts are few, there is some information to parse through the nine posts; the most obvious being that the film takes place in a new home on Rayburn Drive that's seemingly been through a recent murder, with scissors involved in someone's death. In addition, there's a trio of videotapes that will be played during the film, one labeled "JD's Confession" and another appropriately labeled "It's a knife."

The Grudge releases next year. The film stars Andrea Riseborough, Demian Bechir and John Cho.
