The Great Comic Book Cover Homage Streak: Week 179

It occurs to me that it seems like many comic book covers are homages. Which is fine with me. I have no problem with it. It just made me think, though, how long could I go before I hit a week where NO new comic book was released that had a cover that was an homage to something? Let's find out! Here is an archive of all the cover homages featured in the streak so far!

It's pretty funny that I wasn't paying attention and missed this week, in part because I figured, "Eh, just another Marvel Hip Hop week." Only this time there WASN'T a hip hop homage cover! So I picked a bad week to skip!

Anyhow, for this week, we'll go with Neal Adams and Brian Bolland's cover for Aquaman #49, which is homaging Adams' own cover for Batman #251.

One hundred and seventy-nine weeks down! One hundred and eighty coming right up!
