It occurs to me that it seems like many comic book covers are homages. Which is fine with me. I have no problem with it. It just made me think, though, how long could I go before I hit a week where NO new comic book was released that had a cover that was an homage to something? The streak began on September 27, 2012. Let's see if it is still going on!

Week 217 was Mike Del Mundo's cover for "Thanos" #1, which homaged the cover of Czarface's album, "Every Hero Needs a Villain," which was drawn by L'Amour Supreme.

(Note that they nicely included the homaged cover right there on the cover)

Week 221 was Salva Espin's cover for "Deadpool: Back in Black" #5, which homaged Todd McFarlane's "Spider-Man" #1 .

The streak keeps on keeping on! I'll check in again in another month or so!
