The Gifted star Blair Redford already has a team up in mind for his character John "Thunderbird" Proudstar. Speaking to CBR, Redford revealed that he would love to see Thunderbird team up with his brother James, aka Warpath.

"I definitely, at some point if it’s doable, would love to see something with his brother Warpath," he shared. "I think that’s a story everybody would be really excited about and there’s a lot of places to go with it. I’m not sure what we could do there or what we have plans to do with that character, but that one would be pretty exciting to me... Obviously, it’d be a cool team up to see the Proudstar brothers."

Thunderbird had a very short-lived appearance in Marvel Comics, dying shortly after his debut appearance in Giant-Size X-Men #1. Warpath, on the other hand, has enjoyed a much longer career in the comics. Initially, he assumed his late brother's codename Thunderbird, but went on to carve his own identity when he assumed the moniker Warpath and joined X-Force. Both Thunderbird and Warpath share similar power sets, with enhanced senses, strength, speed and stamina.

Because of Thunderbird's death, the mutant brothers never had the opportunity to team up. However, since Thunderbird has become a vital part of The Gifted, the two characters have the chance to work together. Though that's not in the cards just yet, the potential for such a team up certainly exists.

While we may not see a Thunderbird-Warpath team up just yet, there is another character Redford would like Thunderbird to work with: Shatter. "I think just there’s some really cool stuff we could do because he has the power to touch things and crystalize them," he explained."So he’d be a great team up if they were up against people or even terrain where Shatter could just move around touching people and crystallizing them and Thunderbird comes along behind and just smashes everything to pieces, and they just leave a wake of little crystal shards behind them after they’re done with the battle."
