During Comic-Con International in San Diego, Fox released the first trailer of Season 2 of its X-Men universe live-action series, The Gifted. The trailer revealed that while the X-Men were still nowhere to be found, the world of the mutants was about to get a whole lot bigger. Then, the trailer ended with the announcement that Season 2 of the series had its own subtitle: "Dawn of the Mutant Age."

Now, thanks to a new promo of the series, we get a sense of what this new Mutant Age will look like -- or rather, how it will begin: with revolution. "Let's get to work girls," Grace Byers's new, mysterious character Reeva says to the Stepford Cuckoos. "This revolution's not gonna start itself."

Byers' Reeva is a character shrouded in mystery -- all that we know so far is that she is an important member of the organization known as the Inner Circle. In the comics, Reeva Payge is a crucial member of the Inner Circle of the Hellfire Club, who once named her the Black Queen. In the promo, Reeva makes it clear that she will be one of the main antagonists of Season 2, by declaring that the Inner Circle has many enemies -- enemies who still believe in the dream of the X-Men. "We will change the world," Reeva tells her followers.

Season 1 of The Gifted introduced fans to a world where humans were slowly turning on mutants, a pressure cooker that was only growing worse as the season went on. Now, with the Hellfire Club moving to change everything, all-out war could seen erupt between the Inner Circle and the Mutant Underground.

The new season of The Gifted will not only feature all of the original cast members of the series, but some new additions as well, with Skyler Samuels, who plays the Frost Sisters/Stepford Cuckoos, now a series regular. On top of that, Season 2 is said to feature the debut of the fan-favorite group of mutants known as the Morlocks, and a new original mutant named Twist.
