The Gifted to Introduce Andreas and Andrea von Strucker

Theories about the Strucker lineage in Fox’s The Gifted have been swirling since the family’s surname was first announced. Strucker is the last name with some very bad folks from the comics, after all. Those folks are Andreas and Andrea von Strucker, major characters in Marvel Comics lore who are now slated to appear in the eighth episode of The Gifted’s first season.

It sounds like Reed Strucker will be getting a little history lesson when "Threat Of eXtinction" debuts on Nov. 20. The episode will see Reed meet with his estranged father in an attempt to learn about his family’s mutant history. He gets a bit more than he bargained for. Here’s the official synopsis:

More refugees pour into the Mutant Underground, but the group faces a threat when they discover one of them is a spy working for Sentinel Services. Meanwhile, Reed visits his estranged father and learns that secrets from his family’s past could prove useful in the all-new “threat of eXtinction” episode of THE GIFTED airing Monday, Nov. 20 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.
