While "Avatar" appears in little danger of losing its crown, "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" continues its march up the charts, moving past "Avengers: Age of Ultron" to become the sixth-highest grossing film of all time in the international box office.

The Disney sequel grossed another $11.5 million on Tuesday, bringing its overseas total to $946.9 million -- just $13.6 million shy of No. 5 "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows -- Part 2." It's expected to pass "Jurassic World's" $1.02 billion by the end of the week to seize the No. 4 spot.

On the domestic front, "The Force Awakens" added $3.8 million to its till on Tuesday, bringing its North American haul to $819.7 million. Its worldwide total now stands at $1.77 billion, behind only “Avatar” with $2.78 billion and “Titanic” with $2.19 billion.
