The minds behind the bad movie-obsessed podcast The Flop House have released the digital comic book A Hairy Night in Wolfsburg, the proceeds of which will go entirely toward the American Civil Liberties Union. The issue is the second in an anthology series and is currently available at the podcast’s home website. A Hairy Night in Wolfsburg is currently being sold at name-your-price amount that ranges from $1 to $50.
The Flop House consists of Dan McCoy, Stuart Wellington and Elliott Kalan, the latter of which has written for Marvel comics on such series as Spider-Man and the X-Men. A Hairy Night in Wolfsburg is written by Wellington, with art by Jacob Edgar, Dearbhla Kelly and Simon Bowland. Bowland has provided lettering for series like The Wild Storm and 2000AD.
This is not the first time The Flop House’s creators have commissioned a comic book for charity. The trio also helmed the first comic in their anthology series, Cosmic Bowl, back in March. Cosmic Bowl was written by McCoy, with art by Roger Langridge, and sold at a name-your-price amount.
The Flop House is a podcast about bad movies in which McCoy, Wellington and Kalan critique said films humorously. The podcast was founded nearly 10 years ago on September 7, 2007.
