“The Flash’s” Ratings Hold Steady for Season 2 Premiere

On Tuesday, “The Flash” zoomed back to television for its season two premiere, which held steady with a 1.4/5 rating and 3.42M viewers. According to Zap2It, this reflects a drop of a tenth of a point in adults 18-49 from the show’s season one finale as well as a half a point drop from last year’s premiere. Regardless, this is considered a strong opener for The CW.

The premiere, titled “The Man Who Saved Central City,” picked up six months following the singularity caused by the events in the season one finale. Over the course of the episode, Barry (Grant Gustin) comes to terms with Ronnie’s (Robbie Amell) alleged death as well as the destruction it wrought throughout the city, even as a new multi-dimensional threat named Zoom arises. For a full synopsis, check out CBR’s recap of the episode.

Starring Gustin, Carlos Valdes and Jesse L. Martin, “The Flash” returns to The CW on Oct. 6 on at 8 p.m. EST.
