A new clip from the Season 7 premiere of The Flash delves into the quest to save Iris-- and one of Barry Allen's allies may have found an unlikely way to do so.
The clip, released during IGN Fan Fest 2021, features Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) talking with Joe West (Jesse L. Martin) and Cecile Horton (Danielle Nicolet) about his efforts to catch Eva McCulloch/Mirror Master (Efrat Dor). With Barry's speed dwindling and Joe low on leads, Cecile offers a solution: she will act as the defense attorney for Rosa Dillon, aka the Top, in order to find out more about Dillon's dealings with the Black Hole organization.
Dillon, played by Ashley Rickards, first appeared in Season 3 of The Flash. Joe mentions in the clip that Dillon and her boyfriend Sam Scudder -- the first Mirror Master -- were members of Black Hole, with McCulloch having killed Scudder at some point. Official photos from the Season 7 premiere feature Dillon and Cecile talking to each other.
The first three episodes of Season 7 of The Flash will address the lingering plot points of Iris being trapped in the Mirrorverse, as well as Barry's attempts to regain his speed. Those episodes were originally scheduled to be part of Season 6 before the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic cut things short.
