Since appearing in the first season of The Flash, Wentworth Miller's Captain Cold has had quite the journey in the Arrowverse. But since leaving for Legends of Tomorrow, Miller has only appeared on The Flash twice. That's about to change, as Miller will be donning the parka and working with the Scarlet Speedster one last time before he hangs up the role for good.

While at German Comic-Con a few days ago, Miller confirmed that he'll have one more episode to shoot for Flash in January.

Though his contract will be up once he shoots his Flash episode, Miller did say he'd be open to showing up in the future. "I love this character, and I have a lot of affection for the cast," he told said. "There are many reasons to come back. It just has to be the right story."

Miller also praised the Arrowverse writers for exploring the different facets of Leonard Snart via time travel and alternate reality storylines.

Following his addition to the spinoff series Legends, Cold changed from his villainous ways into a full blown hero. Though he sacrificed himself to save his friends in the first season, he's managed to return several times via hallucinations and time travel. Recently, Snart returned to the show as Citizen Cold, a heroic version of the character who helped the heroes fight off evil Nazis in "Crisis on Earth-X." He's decided to stick around with the Legends for now, but it's been known that he wouldn't be a permanent fixture on the Waverider.

Starring Grant Gustin as the Scarlet Speedster, The Flash returns Tuesday, Jan. 16 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW. The series also stars Jesse L. Martin, Tom Cavanagh, Carlos Valdes, Candice Patton, Danielle Panabaker, Keiynan Lonsdale and more.
