New Flash Synopsis Teases A Major Character's Death

A synopsis for an upcoming episode of The Flash teases the death of a character who has been with the team since its earliest days.

A major hero from The CW's The Flash series may fall in an upcoming episode if a recently released episode synopsis is to be believed. A synopsis for the episode "The Death of Vibe" might not have a whole lot to say about the titular speedster's demise, but the title certainly does.

According to the synopsis, the episode will see the villain Cicada targeting a key member of Team Flash. It can reasonably be assumed from the foreboding episode title that the hero in question is Vibe (Carlos Valdes), who may be using himself as bait at the behest of Nora (Jessica Parker Kennedy), the daughter of Barry Allen who also hails from the future.

CICADA TARGETS A MEMBER OF TEAM FLASH — After Cicada’s (Chris Klein) attack on The Flash (Grant Gustin), the team realizes they need to think outside the box to stop this dangerous new foe. Desperate to help her parents, Nora (Jessica Parker Kennedy) comes up with a plan that ultimately puts a member of Team Flash in danger. Meanwhile, Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) delves into her past. Returning on Tuesday, Oct. 9, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW for its fifth season, The Flash stars Grant Gustin, Candice Patton, Carlos Valdes, Danielle Panabaker, Tom Cavanaugh, Jesse L. Martin, Danielle Nicolet, Hartley Sawyer and Jessica Parker Kennedy. "The Death of Vibe" will air on Oct. 23.
